Vision and Purpose

As of May 26th, 2000 the Chicago House of Prayer is officially opened!

We believe that the vast majority of the major cities of the earth will have a city wide House of Prayer in the spirit of the Tabernacle of David.

The relevance of the historical events found in Isaiah, Amos and Haggai, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Zechariah are intensely practical for building the House of Prayer in this day. We believe that the Holy Spirit is highlighting the prophetic promise in Acts 15 in which God promises to restore the Tabernacle of David. We desire to present the priestly, prophetic and kingly dimensions of the Tabernacle of David as they relate to this 24-hour a day House of Prayer. God has extended an invitation to the Chicagoland area to build Him a 24 -hour a day House of Prayer in the spirit of the Tabernacle of David. We will be open Monday through Friday with the goal of going the full 24hrs 7 days a week as more musicians, singers and intercessors come fourth.

Ideally we seek to have 7-12 singers and musicians on each worship team. Central to our model is praying (singing) the scripture using the Apostolic Prayers, the Hymns of Revelation, the Psalm and the Song of Solomon. We desire to incorporate three types of prayer meetings every day First "Intercessory Worship" in which we engage in spiritual warfare for revival. Second, "Devotional" prayer meetings that provide an anointed atmosphere to sit at the feet of Jesus. Third "Worship with the Word" meetings which comprise of singing the Psalms, the Hymns of Revelation and the Song of Solomon in a corporate way We also have a goal of developing antiphonal choirs (Neh.12:23,24,31,38,40 Ezra 3:11) On Wednesday of each week we will conduct on-site training seminars for more details . We are training singers and musicians and intercessors to flow in the prophetic anointing in an interactive way.
